The tenth week again delivered, with a huge upset for the Bills proving the 'any given Sunday' mantra that draws so many fans into the NFL
That result could have created opportunities for the Patriots to move back into a leading position they used to occupy, with a remaining games that provides them an advantage over their eight and two competitors
Over in the National Football Conference the Seahawks and Los Angeles Rams had ideal outcomes to arrange a monster clash in week 11, while our top performer is pursuing milestones as well as the Most Valuable Player award
The Breakdown - Just a Bad Day for Buffalo?
Could it simply have been an emotional letdown from defeating Kansas City the previous week or something more? That's the question for the Buffalo team to answer
The Buffalo squad had secured seven victories in a consecutive games against the Dolphins but were second best from the start as the Miami team ran out 30-13 victors in an eye-opening outcome - and performance
MVP quarterback Josh Allen only got the squad's opening first down in the third quarter and first points in the final quarter - admittedly Miami had ten days to get ready but it was nonetheless a massive egg produced by one of the NFL's top offences
Dolphins quarterback Tua passed for two touchdowns but rusher Achane was the devastating difference, with 225 combined yards and two touchdowns
Containing the league's best rushing attack was also key, with James Cook and teammates registering just eighty-six yards, their lowest of the season and just over half their 161.5 yard season average
Additionally there were the three crucial ball losses, and the pair from Josh Allen in particular. An interception in the end zone meaning a nine minute drive yielded no points, and his final quarter fumble that Miami converted to seven points just later
It was typical 'previous Bills teams' as they hurt themselves in the foot, getting into a deficit on defense and Josh Allen attempting to overcompensate to rescue his squad out of it - rather than the composed, controlled, balanced Buffalo team we've witnessed this season
The Dolphins have served up a varied performances this season so the verdict is uncertain on if this is the start of something, but for Buffalo they'll require an immediate bounce-back in a tough game against the Buccaneers next week as the New England are quietly moving into a nice lead at the summit of the American Football Conference East
Spotlight - Patriots Identify Route to Surprise Top Seed
Speaking of the Patriots, they're one of three eight and two teams in the NFL, all American Football Conference sides, but are they the top team?
One could pick holes in the Patriots, the Broncos and Indianapolis really for dominating the weaker opponents, with just five of their total 24 victories coming against teams with a winning record - and one example was the Indianapolis defeating the Broncos
Denver beat the champion Eagles in Philly and are kings of the fourth-quarter while Indy can ride Taylor, but the New England adding Sunday's win in Tampa to their primtime win in Orchard Park appears to be a statement
Their pair of losses occurred in recently appointed coach Mike Vrabel's initial three contests, with seven straight wins, similar to Denver, since then - but taking down Mayfield after the Bucs had a bye to get ready was significant
Drake Maye's MVP claims won't go away, and he certainly earns point for courage after absorbing some savage hits in Tampa Bay but persevering to guide his side to success
The defense is solid and first-year running back TreVeyon Henderson burst onto the scene on Sunday with 147 yards and two exciting scores of fifty-five and sixty-nine yards - becoming just the fifth different runner to exceed 22 miles per hour this year on his initial touchdown
While you can argue who 'the best' is technically, the Patriots should be favourites to end with the top record thanks to their remaining opponents - which features just a single matchup against a successful opponent, albeit a significant contest against Buffalo
Visiting Baltimore is challenging too, but Denver have it even tougher in the AFC West with the Kansas City to face two times, the Los Angeles Chargers (who might also compete for first place but encounter the same problem) and also the Green Bay on the fixture list
The Indianapolis also play the Chiefs, and have the Seahawks, San Francisco and two matchups with the 5-4 Jaguars to contend with. There's a considerable distance to travel but the door is open for a surprise top seed in the AFC
Next Week - Los Angeles and Seattle Set for Next Week Clash
Two teams with solid claims to be superior to all of the three different eight and two sides are National Football Conference West rivals the Seattle and Los Angeles, who both scored forty points to reach seven and two ahead of the upcoming Hollywood blockbuster meeting between the pair in LA
They've both secured four victories in a row, have signal callers in Matthew Stafford and Darnold performing at an high standard (although Sam Darnold had ball security problems on Sunday) with top receivers, and defensive units giving up fewer than twenty points a game
Each could easily be undefeated as too - particularly the Los Angeles as their pair of losses occurred in extra time against the San Francisco and then that agonising loss in Philadelphia when they had a potentially winning kick with the final play blocked and returned by the Philadelphia for a score
The Seahawks also lost to San Francisco, with a last-minute score in week one, before losing to the final play of the contest against the Buccaneers - so they're truly two of the best sides in the league
The upcoming game on Sunday could be the best of the season so far
Player of the Week - Taylor
Jonathan Taylor might be on for a record season after his incredible display in Berlin - rushing for 244 rushing yards, scoring three scores and adding an additional forty-two {receiving yards
