Passionate followers of the actress are calling for that a individual who leaped a barricade and touched the performer during Thursday's Wicked: For Good premiere be arrested or expelled from Singapore.

A widely shared footage shows the Australian man pushing past camera operators and rushing toward Grande while the cast walked down a promenade accompanied by onlookers.

Cast member Cynthia Erivo promptly guided the surprised actress away from Mr Wen, who was seen being removed of the premiere by security officers.

Mr Wen shared on Instagram Thursday evening that he was "free after being detained", though official papers showed that he was due to appear on Friday morning. It is not clear if he was faced legal action.

Record of Incidents

This is not the first time for Mr Wen, who labels himself a "Controversial Figure", has invaded a performance. His Instagram account features recordings of him interrupting other celebrity events, including rushing the platform at Katy Perry's Sydney show in June this year and in a comparable manner during The Chainsmokers performance in the city last December.

"Measures must be taken taken against him as this is evidently a punishable act," wrote an Instagram commenter, in a message to a video Mr Wen posted of his behavior.

"Oh wow so you do this a lot... how aren't you in jail?" a different Instagram user wrote.

Followers Voice Worry Over Grande's Safety

Many fans blamed Mr Wen for "causing further distress" Grande, who had revealed dealing with PTSD after a terrorist explosion at the finale of her spring 2017 show in Manchester, claiming the lives of 22 people and wounding many.

"Ariana has been through so many scary things... and at her Manchester concert and you thought it would be fun to jump the barricade?" commented a further comment on Instagram.

Several supporters also faulted guards at the Thursday event for not being sufficiently alert; while different individuals requested social media platforms to remove Mr Wen's content.

Response and Event Details

In footage shared widely, Grande seemed shocked when she was grabbed by the man. Her fellow actors Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be seen comforting her while Mr Wen was led out by security.

Grande has not commented on the situation, and the premiere activities continued without further issues.

Many of attendees had congregated in a crowd of colorful attire at the Wicked: For Good Asia-Pacific premiere in a Singapore shopping center, including a number who had queued for as long as eight hours before it began.

The motion picture, to be launched on 21 November, is the follow-up of a dual interpretation of the well-known theatrical musical Wicked, which focuses on the unexpected relationship between two distinct sorceresses.

The musical itself is a adaptation of the 1900 children's novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who plays the good witch Glinda, was dressed in a rosé sequin dress at the event while Erivo, who portrays the wicked witch, wore a elegant ensemble decorated with roses.

They were joined by fellow actor Jeff Goldblum.

The initial film, Wicked, was the most successful movie of the previous year in the UK, and earned ten Academy Award nods, winning two for excellent wardrobe and set decoration.
