'Our Mission Involves Exclusively Executing' - The Way Sudan's Ruthless Paramilitary Group Perpetrated a Mass Killing

Alert: This Report Presents Explicit Accounts of Shootings.

Combatants laugh as they move on the bed of a transport truck, speeding by a row of multiple dead bodies and driving in the direction of the descending African sun.

"Observe such work. Observe this act of ethnic cleansing," a fighter exclaims.

The fighter smiles as he turns the recording device on himself and his companion combatants, their Rapid Support Forces identification on display: "They will all be killed like this."

These individuals are celebrating a mass killing that relief organizations believe killed over two thousand civilians in the Sudan's city of al-Fashir during October.

A City Severed from the World

Having held the community under blockade for almost 24 months, from August the militia moved to reinforce its dominance and restrict the surviving inhabitants.

Satellite images reveal that fighters began to erect a massive earth barrier - a built-up earthen wall - around the perimeter of the city, closing entry points and halting aid.

As the siege intensified, seventy-eight civilians were slain in an RSF strike on a place of worship on mid-September, while the international organization reported 53 more were slain in unmanned aircraft and heavy weapon strikes on a makeshift community in fall.

Disturbing Video Reveals Defenseless People Shot

At dawn on October 26th the militia conquered the last government strongholds and seized the main headquarters in the city, the command center of the Military Unit, as the government forces retreated.

Perhaps the most horrific footage to surface and examined showed the aftermath of a massacre at a university building on the western side of the urban area, where numerous dead bodies were observed spread over the ground.

An elderly man wearing a white tunic remained by himself surrounded by the victims. He looked to look as a combatant armed with a firearm walked descending the stairs facing the individual. lifting his firearm, the gunman fired a one bullet at the man, who fell to the surface still.

"For what reason is this person still breathing," another combatant exclaimed. "Execute this one."

Orbital photography taken on late October seemed to verify that shootings were also carried out on the streets of el-Fasher, based on a study issued by the Yale Humanitarian Research Lab.

A key eyewitness who spoke reported the individual had observed "many of our kin getting killed - the victims were assembled in a single location and each one murdered."

Militia Commanders Try to Conduct Reputation Management

During the period that ensued from the massacre, paramilitary chief conceded that his fighters had perpetrated "atrocities" and said the occurrences would be investigated.

Included among apprehended was after a analysis recording his killings. Carefully orchestrated and produced footage published on the militia's authorized Telegram account show the commander being escorted into a cell at a prison on the perimeter of el-Fasher.

Meanwhile, the paramilitary force and associated online profiles commenced seeking to reshape the narrative.

Content showing its combatants providing supplies to civilians were disseminated by various accounts, while the force's public relations unit released multiple clips claiming to show the proper management of army captives.

Despite the online initiative being employed by the paramilitary, their actions in el-Fasher have sparked global outrage.
