Salah Offers Statement to Liverpool Dressing Room, Reveals Curtis Jones
Jones has shared that Mohamed Salah expressed regret to the team following the fallout from his televised remarks.
What Happened
Salah was left out from a vital match subsequent to criticising the club and claiming his connection to the head coach had deteriorated.
“Salah is an individual and he can say his own stuff,” Jones told Sky Sports. “His apology was clear and was like: ‘If my words hurt anyone, I apologise.’”
The head coach has chosen not to comment publicly on whether he received a personal apology from the player.

Jones insisted that the squad's reaction stayed normal. “He was his usual self, he had a big smile on his face and it was business as usual,” he continued.
He also suggested that a teammate fighting for a place is a positive trait. “I get that there are specific approaches you can go about things,” he said. “But if a lad’s fine to just be on the bench, then I think that’s more of an issue.”

Liverpool's form have been impressive in the period after the initial controversy. The player is convinced the forward's comments were not designed to harm the team.
“If passion has boiled over, it has consistently come from a desire to win,” he finished. “It's behind us and we’re gelling well as a team, performing and securing victories.”
