The platform declared this week that the talented performer will appear in the One Piece cast for the third season and will play Mr. 2. Bon Clay can use their power to transform into an identical duplicate of any individual they’ve touched with their right hand. The actor, who is identifies as non-binary and uses they/them pronouns, will play a rendition of that figure reimagined as non-binary identifying, as opposed to as a drag performer, in the real-life adaptation, unlike the source material and cartoon version.
Escola joins multiple new cast members set to bring the organization to the screen, such as head Mr. 0, portrayed by the well-known actor, a talented actress as another operative, and a familiar face, who is also part of the cast as the ruler of the fictional land.
Even though the role is a important part of Baroque Works, the persona will be introduced in One Piece season 3. With the next season set to cover the Little Garden storyline, this represents a notable change in the placement of their first appearance, one that could signal further changes to the narrative framework.
